Counted Cross Stitch Patterns of Historic Savannah Buildings & Landmarks

This cross stitch pattern shows a silhouette of the well-known monument erected in 1971 by the Altrusa Club of Savannah. It depicts Florence Martin, who waved a welcome to ships in Savannah Harbor for 44 years until her death in 1943.

The cross stitch pattern includes a part of the inscription that appears on the statue: "A Welcome to Strangers Entering the Port" and "A Farewell to Wave Them Safely Onward" along with "Waving Girl" and "Savannah, Georgia".

The cross stitch is nice on a blue aida or smoky linen, epecially in a small size on Aida 18.

The counted cross stitch pattern includes color code for DMC cotton floss.  It also includes a sizing chart for 11, 14, 18, and 22 count fabrics. Embroidery details enhance the counted cross stitch.
