The Owens Thomas House was built for Richard Richardson in 1818 (the name comes from later owners). The historic house was designed by famed architect William Jay and is a sophisticated blend of classical motifs from Renaissance Italy and Regency England.
The National Historic Landmark is now open to the public as a house museum.
