Counted Cross Stitch Patterns of Historic Savannah Buildings

This cross stitch pattern depicts a private home called the Gingerbread House for its elaborate ornamentation. It was built in the 1890's for a member of the Assendorf family.

The historic house is an excellent example of the Steamboat Gothic style of architecture. The house is now home to a wedding shop and often hosts weddings and receptions.

The details in this cross stitch pattern are worked in embroidery stitches, to give the stitchery a three-dimensional effect. The cross stitch model was worked on a gold aida cloth (a little lighter than the house) and would also be nice stitched on a tan aida or linen.

The counted cross stitch pattern includes color code for DMC cotton floss.  It also includes a sizing chart for 11, 14, 18, and 22 count fabrics. Embroidery details enhance the counted cross stitch.
